Stephen* had been living and working in Tunisia for over 25 years with various UK tour operators including Thomas Cook.
After the tragic terror attack in Sousse in June 2015, tourism came to a standstill. Despite the hopes of the tourists returning in the future, Stephen had no choice but to head back to the UK.
He managed to find a part-time job at supermarket and put his name on the housing list.
Stephen found a one-bed property but it was unfurnished and so he asked ABTA LifeLine for help with the essentials.
