My 16 Challenges in 2016 for ABTA LifeLine

Caroline Brown, Commercial Director, Shearings -

Having never even run to the end of the road before, in the summer of 2014 I decided to train to run the Wigan 10k in Sept to raise monies for ABTA Lifeline.

Having witnessed the fantastic work that they do within the travel industry, I decided to set myself a bigger, personal challenge to run 16 races in 2016 including my first marathon (London), The Great North Run and other half marathons (10 at this distance in total)  including Lisbon, Manchester, Southport, Reading, Liverpool, Wrexham and Benidorm.

So far on my journey I have completed 4/16 races in some very wet and windy conditions and many more wet, dark winter miles in training, but I know it’s all in a good cause and nothing compared to the life changing, heart breaking experiences that many of the ABTA Lifeline beneficiaries have to cope with.

So please however small an amount you are able to spare, I would be very grateful for your contribution and support as I embark on what will be an epic journey in 2016!

With only 61 days left to go until London today – yes I am counting….. it’s a good time to launch my fundraising.

Here a link to my page which tells my story and I would be extremely grateful if however small you are able to donate to this amazing charity.

I appreciate that there are lots of worthy causes out there which makes it even harder to ask for your support, but this is the charity that supports people like us who work in the travel industry and need our help and this is my small way of giving something back.

Many thanks for your support,
